Originally a 1 ton 2 meter wide mirror ball pizza oven; an arresting piece which gained a lot of attention and inspired the development of the idea to share with the world.
After 3 years of prototyping, testing and perfecting its design, engineering, cooking capabilities and product safety, Marcus launched the first official limited edition of the Disco-Ovens; ‘The Casa Mirror Ball Oven’
As a standalone piece of design, it’s an eye-catching sculpture in any setting, covered in over 34,000 individually hand fitted glass mirror pieces, shimmering reflections in all directions day and night; it’s visually ever changing with its surrounding environment.
The Casa MK1: 110cm Mirror Ball Oven
A 110cm diameter, 360 degree rotating mirror ball, fitted with a 60cm traditional stone core wood fired oven, reaching optimum cooking temperature within 25 minutes, to cook Neapolitan pizzas in 90 seconds.
The oven is vibration cast stone core with a lifetime warranty, fitted with a Cordierite pizza stone cooking base, encased in multiple layers of various refractory insulation, with a twin wall flue system and removable door. With a high degree of thermal mass it provides for a variety of oven cooking options beyond pizzas.
